Centurion, South Africa • 5 months agoIncompetency to solve their slow transfer speeds/speed drop/latency is driving me up the wall, Had to leave vodacom due to escalating prices ( which had better service than afrihost that dont even answer whatsapps and has no after hours support)
I was on the phone with afrihost technician for almost a full day wasting my own air time since the open serve technician had no idea what to do accept testing the same fiber line over and over again until I asked him to install a temporary fiber cable which had no change, it went as far as the cechnician blaming the additional screen connected to the laptop for the slow speeds, yah neh, openserve and afrihost blamed each other the whole day instead of fixing the issue, 1 week later still same problem. only solution from both companies was to blame shift the fault as per typical South African solution!!
after the call both technicians suggested to switch to another ISP since they cannot deliver a service in this area, wtf???
I than cant download more than a few 100kb/s via uterrent, I cant host F1 24 servers without everyone dropping out of the servers/Internet is so unstable I cannot joint other hosts, keep receiving errors when trying to join or having lagg spikes

We have lodged multiple complaints over the course of the last few days and all feedback we received from Vodacom is that there is a fault with OpenServe. Durban, South Africa • 8 months agoI was previously an openserve customer and it worked very well for over 2 years . I changed to vumatel however the wifi connection was not good so i switched back to openserve. The technician connected it on Saturday the 27 July 2024.
I was disappointed as it was constantly losing wifi and then connection restored. Today it is buffering
and not connecting. Please need your assistance

My cable got damaged by a broken trees in the crazy wind and now I have no phone or internet line.
How do I report a fault as I cannot get anyone to answer you 0800 222 676 number and I have sent various emails to openserveinfrastructure@openserve.co.za .... with not one response confirmation. so I am pulling my hair out, as no one is helping me solve this issue or even acknowledging the have received notification of my fault. My address is no 16 Gordon Road, Hout Bay, Cape Town, 7806. Telkom is my service provider. My landline number is 021 790 2376. My name is Sue Austin, and my contact number is 073 183 0399 . I work from home so this is a huge problem not having internet connections. PLEASE KINDLY HELP ME
